Richey Tiger Families,

I am thrilled to introduce myself as the new Principal of Richey Elementary School. It is an honor to rejoin this wonderful school community. Many years ago, I was a Richey Tiger student from Kindergarten to 4th grade. This is my 29th year in Pasco County Schools and for 22 of those years, I have been in school leadership from Assistant Principal, Principal, Asst. Superintendent and back to principal again. I’ve had the honor of leading 6 schools as a principal.

As the school leader, I am passionate about creating a school atmosphere where every student feels valued, inspired, and empowered to achieve their best. I believe that every child has unique strengths and potential, and it is our collective mission to support their growth and development. I am excited about the opportunity to work with each of you to continue fostering a nurturing and engaging environment for our students.

On a personal note, I am happily married to my high school sweetheart for 31 years and we have two adult daughters who are college graduates and live in the Tampa Bay area.

To our parents and families, I value your partnership and am dedicated to maintaining open lines of communication. Together, we can create a supportive network that encourages our children to reach their highest potential.

I am eager to embark on this journey with you and to celebrate the achievements and milestones we will reach together.

Wishing you the best summer and I am looking forward to an exceptional 2024-2025 school year!

Warm regards,
Dr. Tammy Berryhill
